Spanish hair extensions

Spanish hair extensions

Spanish hair extensions in Warsaw are a cold-pressed technique—the strands are attached with a special glue without the use of heat. At PIED-DE-POULE, we tailor the application to your hair length and texture. Schedule a consultation to see if this method is right for you.

Capsules up to 2 mm – invisible in any hairstyle

The attachment points are so small that they remain invisible even when the hair is combed and tied.

Adhesive resistant to fats, oils and water

There is no need to change your shampoo or avoid the pool, sauna or sea water after the treatment.

Lasts up to a year without replacing the strands

With regular adjustments every 2–4 months, donor bundles last for an exceptionally long time.

Glue in different colors – for every hair shade

Both blondes and brunettes can use this technique without the risk of visible joints.

The Spanish method in PIED-DE-POULE

The Spanish method involves cold-fixing donor strands using a special glue. The glue’s composition is similar to keratin, minimizing the risk of allergic reactions. The capsules are no larger than 2 mm in diameter, making the attachment points virtually invisible regardless of hairstyle.

The procedure can only be performed if natural hair is at least 10 cm long. This is a technical requirement—shorter strands would leave visible joints. One procedure typically involves around 200 donor strands and takes up to 3 hours. The strands can be European—more rigid—or Slavic, more flexible and soft.

After the treatment, do not wash your hair or lie on wet capsules for several hours—the glue must dry completely. Comb only after drying, using a wide-toothed comb, starting from the ends. Otherwise, daily care does not require any special products—the glue is resistant to oils and silicones found in shampoos and conditioners.

Hair extensions can be cut, colored, and heat-treated. No restrictions on swimming in the sea, sauna, or pool—this is one of the main advantages of this technique compared to keratin-based methods.

The price of the treatment at our Warsaw salon depends on the number of bundles and their length—we provide a quote after a consultation, not upfront. If you’re not sure which technique is best for you, it’s worth checking out other methods available in our salon.

If the hair is weakened or requires regeneration before the treatment, we recommend first rebuilding the structure and strengthening the strands— this is a condition for permanent and safe attachment.

If you are interested in another capsule technique, details on microcapsule fixation are described in a separate section devoted to this method.

How do we perform extensions using the Spanish method?

01
Consultation and selection of beams

We assess the length and structure of your natural hair. We determine the number of strands, their length, and their type—European or Slavic—so that the effect is natural and proportionate.

02
Preparation of bundles by the master

The donor bundles are prepared immediately before the procedure. The technician cuts and adjusts them to the individual attachment scheme established during the consultation.

03
Glue application and mounting

The adhesive is applied to each strand separately. The capsule is formed at the root of the natural strand—the procedure is completely painless and requires no heating or chemical curing.

04
Checking the durability of joints

Once all the harnesses are attached, we inspect each connector for durability and aesthetics. The capsules must not touch each other—the spacing between them is crucial for comfort.

05
Drying and combing

Wait for the glue to dry completely, then gently comb the hair. Check the naturalness of the effect and adjust the placement if necessary.

06
Recommendations and setting a correction date

We discuss post-treatment care and schedule your first touch-up appointment – usually every 2–4 months, depending on your hair growth rate.

FAQ

  • How long does the procedure take?

A full Spanish extension takes up to 3 hours. The time depends on the number of bundles and the experience of the technician—we work precisely, not by shortcuts.

  • How often is correction needed?

Every 2–4 months—depending on hair growth rate. Correction involves moving the capsules higher, not replacing the bundles.

  • Is the treatment suitable for very thin hair?

Yes, with the appropriate number and placement of bundles. The capsules are very small—they don’t weigh down delicate strands. We assess the condition of your hair during your consultation.

  • Can I dye my hair after the treatment?

Yes, the glue is dye-resistant. You can dye, lighten, and use conditioners without risk of damaging the capsules.

  • How to remove bundles?

The technician uses a special adhesive-dissolving agent and then gently removes the strands with tweezers. The procedure is painless and does not damage natural hair.
